Delhi Traffic Advisory: Disruptions On Barapulla Road Due To RRTS Construction Work Until May 10 –Check Diversions

While the work will be carried between 12:00 am to 5:00 am on all the days, the activity is expected to impact traffic movement in the surrounding areas.

Delhi commuters are expected to face disruptions on select routes until May 10. The traffic diversion will be in place on Barapulla Road (both carriageways) in view of girder erection work for the Delhi–Meerut RRTS Corridor above Barapulla Flyover. Delhi Traffic Police has released the advisory and informed about the update through a post on X. While the work will be carried between 12:00 am to 5:00 am on all the days, the activity is expected to impact traffic movement in the surrounding areas. To ensure smooth vehicular flow, Delhi traffic police has made necessary arrangements and diversions.

Traffic Diversion Points:

Delhi Traffic Police stated that depending on requirement, traffic diversions will be implemented on the following stretches:
Barapulla Flyover (Sarai Kale Khan/DND to AIIMS side):

Commuters coming from ITO, NH-24 & NH-9, Sarai Kale Khan & DND towards Maharani Bagh, Sundial, and Sidharth Extension for Lala Lajpat Rai Marg & AIIMS are advised to take Ring Road.

Barapulla Flyover (AIIMS/INA/Lodhi Road to Akshardham & DND side):

Commuters coming from AIIMS, INA & Lodhi Road towards Akshardham, Greater Noida & DND are advised to use Ring Road and Lala Lajpat Rai Marg.

Instructions To General Public

Instructions have also been issued to general public other than diversions:
People are advised to avoid the above-mentioned roads/stretches during the specified period.
Commuters travelling to ISBT, Sarai Kale Khan, DND, AIIMS, and adjoining areas are advised to plan their journey with sufficient time in hand to accommodate possible delays.
Use public transport wherever possible to ease traffic congestion.
Park only in designated parking areas. Avoid roadside parking as it obstructs smooth traffic flow.
In case any unusual or suspicious object or person is noticed, immediately inform the Police.

It is important to note that the traffic movement will be affected until May 10. Commuters are advised to plan their journey accordingly.
