CM Rekha Gupta further stated that the new logo will beautifully showcase the harmony of the national capital’s traditions, heritage, and development. “Until now, Delhi has not had an official logo, whereas most states in the country have their own emblem that represents their unique identity. Our government began work in this direction as soon as it came to power, so that Delhi, too, could have an identity befitting its dignity. The objective of this initiative is to establish Delhi as a strong brand that conveys the message of democratic values, technological progress, and citizen participation,” the post added.

Earlier on Friday, CM Rekha Gupta declared that October 27 will be a government holiday for Chhath Pooja. “On this day, devotees offer prayers to the setting Sun God at riversides or ponds at sunset. Preparations begin early in the morning, with families busy performing various rituals. Considering this, the government has declared 27 October a public holiday,” the press release stated.

Extending warm greetings on Chhath puja on Saturday, the Chief Minister wrote on X, “Namaskar. Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all brothers and sisters on the Chhath Mahaparva. This year’s Chhath festival is being celebrated with great pomp and splendor in Delhi. After many years, our brothers and sisters will be able to worship the Sun on the banks of the Yamuna Ji and offer Arghya to the Sun. We have made extensive preparations. Arrangements have been made for our Purvanchal brothers and sisters at all Chhath ghats from Palla to Kalindi. Heartiest best wishes to all of you. I pray to Chhathi Maiya that her blessings remain upon us all like this.”
