Delhi To Add 250 New AC Electric Buses Including 150 Mini EVs To DTC Fleet On THIS Date – Details Inside

Out of these 250, more than 150 will be 9-meter-long mini electric buses. All these will be air-conditioned buses.

Delhi: On April 22, more than 250 new electric buses will be added to the DTC fleet. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Delhi Transport Minister Dr. Pankaj Singh will flag them off. Out of these 250, more than 150 will be 9-meter-long mini electric buses. All these will be air-conditioned buses.

This will be nature-friendly. This move from the Delhi government will boost connectivity. It will help build a stronger network of buses on the roads of the national capital. All these 250 buses will be launched at by the Delhi Government.

About EV Policy 2.0

Amid the fervor that the Draft of the New EV policy 2.0 caused, a new update might be able to offer Delhi residents a possible short-term relief. The relief comes in the guise of a three-month extension in the implementation of the new EV 2.0 policy. As per a recent update, the current policy would continue to operate till the new Delhi EV 2.0 policy is implemented. The policy was aimed to tackle vehicular pollution and, beyond that, the new policy was also aimed to boost the adoption of EV vehicles by 25% by 2024. The initial three-year term ended in August 2024; however, the state government decided to extend the guideline beyond.
