Delhi: In a shocking incident, a man and his sister were found hanging inside their rented flat in Seemapuri area of Delhi. The incident took place on Sunday and came to light after foul smell was detected by neighbours from the ground-floor flat.
The deceased have been identified as 32-year-old Viresh Kumar Tomar, son of Devender Kumar, and his 30-year-old sister, Chinki Tomar. They both were residents of Fatehpur Chak, Ramala in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the police, the siblings had been living in the flat since 2021. The crime team and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) officials rushed to the spot and videographed for further investigation.
The official stated that while preliminary investigation suggests suicide, the team is verifying other details. No suicide note has been recovered from the room yet and further investigations are underway.
Another Incident
In another incident, a13-year-old girl was found dead under suspicious circumstances in her house in Delhi’s Dabri on May 30. According to the police, her body was found in a room on the roof of the third floor of the house at Sitapuri. Crime team and forensic team were called at the spot. On the basis of initial investigation, the police suspected that the girl was murdered by strangulation. No signs of sexual assault were found in preliminary investigation, stated the officials on Friday.
The police registered a case of murder under relevant sections and further investigation is underway.
