Uttar Pradesh: A shocking case of fraud has come to light where two brothers from Delhi’s Pritampura cheated at least 10 people from Ghaziabad out of Rs 67 lakh. According to reports, they sold a farmhouse located in Noida Sector 151 in 2022. Even after the deal, the registry was not carried out, and money was not returned to these people.
Deal Was Sealed With 10 People
A case has been filed against the accused based on the complaint of the victims at the police station. Jagran reported that a resident from Kavinagar, Rajkishore Gupta, told police that the accused, identified as Sandeep Wadhwa and Vipul Wadhwa, contacted him in May 2022. They told him about the deal for the land of Project Sports Land Farm House in Sector-151. This deal was sealed with 10 people for 1600 yards of land at Rs 5250 per yard.
Buyers Paid Rs 7 Lakh Via Cheque, Rs 60 Lakh In Cash
Reports revealed that all the buyers paid Rs 7 lakh through a cheque, while Rs 60 lakh was paid in cash. The remaining Rs 17 lakh was due at the time of registration. However, after some time, they were told that the farmhouse land fell in the submergence area and that the Revenue Department had put a ban on it. To remove it, a petition has been filed in the court.
Accused Stopped Picking Calls
The accused assured to provide a solution within two months. However, when the buyers contacted them later, they stopped picking up their calls. The victims have now complained to the police about the incident. The matter is currently being investigated, and action will be taken after that.
