Delhi Pollution: AQI Remains ‘Moderate’ For Fourth Straight Day, Offering Relief To Residents; Partly Cloudy Weather Likely On…

The Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi predicts the air quality to remain relatively stable in the coming days. The forecast shared in the AQEWS bulletin on Saturday evening read, "The AQI is likely to remain moderate from Sunday through Tuesday."

Delhi Pollution: The national capital saw significant improvement on Sunday as the air quality remained in the ‘moderate’ category for the fourth consecutive day. The overall average Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 129 at 6 am today, February 23, 2025, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). This marks a gradual improvement from the previous day when the AQI stood at 186 at 6 am on Saturday.

The Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi predicts the air quality to remain relatively stable in the coming days. The forecast shared in the AQEWS bulletin on Saturday evening reads, “The AQI is likely to remain moderate from Sunday through Tuesday. The outlook for the next 6 days is that the air quality is expected to be within the moderate to poor category range.” Additionally, a fresh western disturbance which may influence the region from the 24th of February is likely to improve the AQI by clearing pollutants.

Partly Cloudy Skies Expected On…

Delhi’s minimum temperature witnessed a slight decline over the past 24 hours. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the maximum and minimum temperatures across the city were recorded in the range of 25 to 26°C and 11 to 12°C, respectively. With the minimum temperatures remaining between 11 to 12°C, a mainly clear sky is expected today and thereafter Delhi/NCR may witness partly cloudy skies till 25th February.

AQI reported in different parts of Delhi at 6 am on Sunday, February 23, 2025: Okhla Phase 2 (128), Alipur (108), Rohini (160), ITO (115), Ashok Vihar (154), Mundka (204), Mandir Marg (139), Lodhi Road IITM (156), Chandni Chowk (150), Wazirpur (145), Jahangirpuri (159), Narela (108), DTU CPCB (137), R.K. Puram (137), Pusa IMD (88) and Punjab Bagh (126).
