Delhi Pollution: This winter, Delhi is battling a toxic haze of pollution and constant changes in the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) regulations. The withdrawal, imposition, and reimposition of GRAP Stages I, II, III, and IV have confused many residents. Amid the shifting restrictions, Delhiites woke up to ‘poor’ air quality on Tuesday after remaining in the ‘very poor’ category yesterday morning.
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Friday, January 17, 2025, had revoked the GRAP restrictions under Stage III. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded as 319 at 6 am today, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). A thin layer of fog was witnessed in different parts of Delhi/NCR as people struggled to keep up with the cold wave.
