Delhi Pollution: The air quality in the national capital improved to the ‘poor’ category amid cold wave and dense fog. The AQI was recorded at 295 as of 6 am on Friday. This improvement in the AQI has been attributed to favorable meteorological conditions, such as rain and increased wind speed. Despite the improvement in AQI, a thick layer of fog shrouded parts of Delhi, affecting visibility. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for dense to very dense fog today. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to remain at 19°C and 8°C, respectively.

GRAP IV Curbs Revoked

Delhi Pollution: AQI In Coming Days
Delhi residents may see some relief from worsening air quality levels in the coming days. As per the Air Quality and Weather forecast provided by IMD/IITM, there is a likelihood of AQI to remain in the lower end of Very Poor category in the coming days. Favourable meteorological conditions and wind speed will be the key factor impacting air quality.
