Delhi: Dense Fog has been consecutively engulfing the national capital for many days, with visibility going below normal in multiple areas. Delhi woke up to ‘very poor’ air quality on Thursday as the AQI was recorded as 343 at 6 am. People were spotted sitting by a bonfire to keep themselves warm as the minimum temperature dipped to 9°C today.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in the city, warning of thunderstorms, rain, and dense fog due to a fresh western disturbance. The met body stated there was a slight decline in minimum temperature up to 01°C over Delhi/NCR during the past 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded in the range of 20 to 21°C and 08 to 10°C respectively.

AQI In Different Parts Of Delhi
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the following AQIs were reported in different parts of Delhi as of 6 am today: Vivek Vihar (372), Okhla Phase 2 (369), Rohini (377), ITO (340), Ashok Vihar (362), Wajipur (366), Shadipur (319), Jahangirpuri (375), Narela (325), DTU (297), R.K. Puram (391), Anand Vihar (370), Pusa (358), and Punjabi Bagh (363).
Weather Forecast For Delhi/NCR
December 26, 2024: IMD has predicted a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of very light to light rain during the evening and night hours.
December 27, 2024: It will mostly remain cloudy on the 27th of December. However light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning, thunderstorms, and gusty winds is expected to persist in Delhi/NCR.
December 28, 2024: Generally cloudy sky with light to moderate rain. Moderate fog is likely in most places and dense fog in isolated places during the morning.
