Delhi Pollution: The air quality in the national capital has shown significant improvement with the AQI in the ‘poor’ category. The AQI was recorded at 243 on Tuesday at 7 am, according to the CPCB. The AQI had been reeling under the ‘very poor’ category for several days. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Monday revoked GRAP stage III restrictions after declining trend of AQI was observed. Improvement in the AQI was attributed to better mixing height, ventilation coefficient and much favourable meteorological conditions for dispersion of pollutants, said the CAQM.
The notification read as, “The AQI of Delhi has been recorded as 286 for 03.02.2025 which is 64 paints below the 350 mark to implement the Stage Ill as per the extant directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court. Further, the forecast by IMD predicts very light rain/ drizzle and favourable wind conditions in the days to come.”

Weather Forecast For Delhi
The AQI is expected to improve further owing to meteorological conditions like light rain, drizzle and wind conditions. This will bring much-needed relief to the residents of Delhi. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted maximum and minimum temperature to remain 21 and 12 degrees Celsius respectively. Thunderstorm with rain is expected to lash the national on Tuesday. Fog/ mist will continue to engulf parts of Delhi in coming days of the week. The change in weather condition has been caused by the active weather disturbance.
