Delhi Pollution: After a short-lived improvement in air quality due to heavy rain in different parts of Delhi in the past two to three days, the AQI has again moved back to the ‘ poor’ category on Sunday. The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) in the national capital was recorded as 223 as of 7 am.
The air quality shifted from ‘poor’ to ‘moderate’ category on Saturday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The fluctuation in air quality comes after rains brought some relief to Delhiites which led to comparatively clearer air than before.
A thin layer of fog engulfed the national capital during the morning hours on Sunday as the minimum temperature dipped to 12°C.
