Delhi Pollution: A thick layer of blanket covered different parts of the national capital on Saturday morning. The Air Quality breached the 400 mark again, signaling severe pollution levels, according to SAFAR-India.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted cloudy skies accompanied by light rain/drizzle during the morning hours on January 11 and 12. The city experienced a dip in temperature up to 1°C during the past 24 hours. Additionally, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded in the range of 18 to 22°C and 6 to 8°C respectively.
Reduced visibility and cold wave conditions continue to cause disruptions in train and flight operations in Delhi/NCR. Meanwhile, the residents flocked to the night shelter homes to escape the wrath of winter. The fog is expected to clear up as the day proceeds but it will linger for an extended period.

Amid declining trends, the Commission of Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Thursday invoked the GRAP III restrictions in the city. The CAQM earlier revoked the restrictions under Stage III after witnessing a positive weather trend.
AQI for various cities including Delhi was unavailable at 7 am today since the Central Pollution Control Board’s server was down. No respite from cold waves and dense fog conditions are expected in the coming days.
