Delhi Pollution: The air quality slipped to the ‘very poor’ category in Delhi/NCR for the second consecutive day on Saturday. The overall AQI was recorded as 385 at 6 am amid low visibility due to dense fog, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
Besides deteriorating AQI, the national capital is currently reeling under severe cold wave conditions with temperature dipping below 10°C. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted cold days ahead across North India. Meanwhile, the sharp decline in the air quality has prompted the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to revoke measures under the Graded Response Action Plan Stage III across the national capital.
