New Delhi: In Delhi’s Bhogal area, a few unidentified persons looted a shop and took jewellery of over Rs 20-25 crores. The shop’s owner mentioned that they had closed the shop on Sunday and returned to open the store on Tuesday after having a day on Monday.
He said they found dust everywhere in the shop as soon as they entered. However, soon the owner realised that the jewellery worth rupees crore was missing and there was a big hole in the strong room.
“We closed the shop on Sunday and when we opened it on Tuesday after an off on Monday, we saw that there was dust in the whole shop and there was a hole in the wall of the strong room… We think they (thieves) have looted everything… There was jewellery worth around Rs 20-25 crores…,” said the owner Sanjeev Jain, owner of the jewellery shop.
It is suspected that the theives must have entered from the terrace to committ the crime who then broke in to the room by making a gaint hole in the room. Meanwhile, they also damaged the CCTV camera installed in the shop.
The police has reached the incident spot and initiated the probe. As per the official mentioned, they were looking into the matter thoroughly and from all possible angles.
