Delhi Weather Update: Heavy rainfall lashed Delhi-NCR on Tuesday, bringing a significant drop in temperatures. Though the showers have likely ended, a pleasant chill engulfed the city on Wednesday morning. The minimum temperatures are further expected to fall as we are already halfway through October.
The intense spell yesterday evening led to major traffic and flight disruptions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted a partly cloudy sky over the national capital on October 8. However, the weather is expected to clear up starting tomorrow. The Weather Body has predicted a clear blue sky until October 14, 2025.
Delhi Weather Forecast For Next 6 Days
The early winter chill in Delhi-NCR is attributed to a fresh western disturbance. The line of withdrawal of the southwest monsoon continues to pass through Veraval, Bharuch, Ujjain, Jhansi, and Shahjahanpur, indicating the onset of the winter season.
According to IMD, Delhiites will witness mainly clear skies from October 9 to 14, with significant fluctuations in temperatures. The maximum temperature is likely to remain in the range of 30-35°C. On the other hand, the minimum temperatures would go up to 20 to 22 degrees Celsius. The changes would offer extended relief to Delhi residents.
