Multiple air quality monitoring stations across Delhi turned ‘red’, indicating ‘severe’ AQI. The high-pollution levels amid the chill weather forced residents to stay indoors, especially during the early morning. Delhi's Nehru Nagar recorded an AQI of 500, while Ghazipur was shrouded by a layer of ‘toxic’ smog as the AQI dropped to 491 this morning, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)

AQI readings in other areas of Delhi Today
The Chandni Chowk area registered a ‘very poor’ AQI of 368 at 10 am, while the air quality plummeted to 500 in Nsit Dwarka and Dilshad Garden on Sunday.
AQI slipped to 425 at 10 am in Patparganj on December 14. The other areas include Siri Fort (401), Sonia Vihar (464), Okhla Phase 2 (475), Najafgarh (225), and Sri Aurobindo Marg (400).
Delhi weather forecast for next 5 days
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhiites will witness a mainly clear sky on December 15, with shallow fog at most places and moderate fog at isolated places during the morning hours.
Mainly clear sky along with shallow fog is also expected to prevail over the capital on December 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th. Thereafter, skies will remain partly cloudy, with shallow fog continuing to engulf the city.

According to the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi, the air quality will likely be in the ‘very poor’ category until December 16. The outlook for the subsequent 6 Days shows the AQI in the ‘very poor’ category despite currently being under the 'severe' range
GRAP 4 invoked in Delhi-NCR
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Saturday invoked Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in Delhi-NCR after the Air Quality Index (AQI) neared the ‘Severe Plus’ mark of 450.
AQI in Noida, Gurugram
The air quality in Noida remained under the ‘severe’ category on Sunday as readings hit 499 at the Sector 116 station at 8 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
Gurugram, on the other hand, had lower AQI levels at 347 under the ‘very poor’ range this morning. While Greater Noida recorded an air quality of 444, Ghaziabad registered an AQI of 460.
