Delhi-NCR Rain Alert- Yellow warning issued for capital, showers predicted in Noida and Gurgaon; Check weather forecast

Delhi-NCR Rain Alert- Following the overnight rainfall, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert of rainfall over Delhi.

Delhi-NCR Rain Alert- Rain lashed parts of the national capital on Sunday night and continued into Monday morning, bringing much-needed relief from the heat and humidity. A fresh Western Disturbance which is likely to affect northwest India from Monday, October 6 has resulted in current weather conditions in Delhi. The line of withdrawal of southwest monsoon continues to pass through Veraval, Bharuch, Ujjain, Jhansi, Shahjahanpur further affecting the weather conditions.

Following the overnight rainfall, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert of rainfall over Delhi. According to the weather forecast for October 6, the city is expected to experience a generally cloudy sky, with several spells of light to moderate rain at many places. The rain may be accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds, with wind speeds ranging from 30–40 kmph, potentially reaching up to 50 kmph. The maximum temperature is likely to remain in the range of 28-30°C, offering extended relief to Delhi residents.

While, yellow alert remains in place for Delhi, here’s what the forecast predicts for NCR region including, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Noida on Monday.

Gurgaon and Faridabad remain alert free as of now.

Gurgaon- The sky will remain generally cloudy on Monday with a few spells of light to moderate rain at many places accompanied with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds.

Noida- The IMD has forecast generally cloudy sky with a few spells of light to moderate rain at many places accompanied by thunderstorms/lightning and gusty winds with speed 30-40 kmph, occasionally reaching upto 50 kmph.

Ghaziabad- Generally cloudy sky with a few spells of light to moderate rain at many places accompanied by thunderstorms has been predicted for Ghaziabad on Monday.

Faridabad- According to the IMD, light to moderate rain will lash Faridabad on Monday. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds is also expected.
