Delhi: Mother And Daughter Stabbed To Death In Rohini Sector 17

In a horrific double murder case that took place in Delhi's Rohini Sector 17, a mother and daughter were brutally stabbed to death on Saturday.

Delhi: In a horrific double murder case that took place in Delhi’s Rohini Sector 17, a mother and daughter were brutally stabbed to death on Saturday (August 30, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old Kusum Sinha and 34-year-old Priya Sehgal. According to reports, the Police have arrested the main suspect, the daughter’s husband.

Yogesh Sehgal, the son-in-law of the deceased, is believed to have stabbed his wife and her mother with a scissor inside their residence. The crime team and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) are currently investigating the case. Meanwhile, Delhi Police said that the reason for the murder is domestic dispute and frequent quarrels.

Megh Sinha, Priya’s brother, made a PCR call around 3:50 pm, alerting the police about the double murder. He informed that his mother went to Priya’s house after a quarrel broke out between the couple during their son’s birthday celebrations.

Megh rushed to Priya’s residence after his phone calls went unanswered. He discovered blood stains near the flat door, which was locked from the outside. He later found his mother and sister lying in a pool of blood inside the residence after breaking the door open.
