VIDEO | Delhi: Massive Fire Breaks Out At CCS Building On Janpath Road; 13 Fire Tenders At Spot

Around 13 fire tenders are currently present at the spot, and efforts are underway to douse the fire.

Delhi: A massive fire broke out in the CCS building in New Delhi’s Janpath Road on Saturday afternoon. As per the latest update, around 13 fire tenders immediately rushed to the spot to douse the flames. Delhi Fire Services said, “Fire broke out in the CCS Building, Janpath Road. 13 fire tenders reached the spot. Dousing operation underway.”

In yet another incident, a massive fire broke out on the sixth floor of an apartment in Delhi’s Dwarka area on Tuesday. Two children (a boy and a girl, both aged 10 years) died after jumping from the balcony. Delhi Police said that they were declared dead at a Hospital. Moments later, their father, identified as 35-year-old Yash Yadav, was also killed after he jumped off the building.

The fire department deployed about 8 fire engines to the scene to douse the flames shortly after receiving the information via call. A sky lift was also used to save the trapped people. The incident triggered panic and chaos in the area. The photos and videos of the fire site, circulating on social media, showed flames engulfing the building. Grey smoke coming out of the building dominated the entire area.

Earlier, on December 13, the Delhi government’s Directorate of Education (DoE) had issued a circular directing all government, government-aided, and recognised private schools under DOE, NDMC, MCD, and Delhi Cantonment Board to conduct classes in a hybrid mode for students up to Class IX and XI.
