Delhi: Man Dies After Suffering Heart Attack While Portraying Lord Ram In Ramleela

Kaushik was immediately taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to police, Sushil had a heart attack.

In a shocking incident, a 45-year-old man collapsed and died while enacting Lord Ram at a Ramleela performance in Delhi on Saturday, October 5. According to media reports, the unfortunate incident occurred in Vishwakarma Nagar, Shahdara.

The victim, a property dealer, Sushil Kaushik, was reciting his line when he clutched his chest and felt uneasy. In the clip, he can be seen wearing a bronze color costume and delivering his lines following which he rushes backstage and reportedly becomes unconscious.
Kaushik was immediately taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to police, Sushil had a heart attack.

Similar Incident In The Past

In January, a similar incident occurred in Haryana’s Bhiwani district. A 62-year-old man named Harish was enacting the role of Lord Hanuman when he fell on his knees at the feet of the actor playing Lord Ram and died on the stage. The audience initially thought he was performing the act but later it came to light that Harish had suffered a cardiac arrest.
