Delhi: Major fire breaks out in Mayapuri’s Mahindra showroom

New Delhi: A major fire broke out on the first floor of an automobile showroom service centre Delhi’s in Mayapuri Phase 1 area on Wednesday, causing extensive damage to several cars. The incident occurred earlier today, prompting an immediate response from the Delhi Fire Service. Delhi Fire Officer Ashok Kumar Jaiswal confirmed that twenty fire tenders were deployed to the scene to combat the blaze.

The fire, which erupted at Mahindra’s service centre, sent thick plumes of smoke billowing into the sky, causing panic among residents and nearby businesses. Firefighters swiftly took control of the situation and successfully extinguished the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.

Cause of the fire breakout yet to be ascertained

Although the fire has been brought under control, the exact cause of the incident is yet to be determined. Fire Officer Ashok Kumar Jaiswal stated that a thorough investigation will be conducted to ascertain the origin and circumstances surrounding the fire.

Thankfully, no injuries or casualties have been reported as a result of the blaze. The swift response from the Delhi Fire Service and their effective firefighting operations played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of personnel and the surrounding area.

The Mahindra service centre, known for its quality automobile services, suffered significant losses due to the fire. Multiple cars parked inside the facility were completely gutted, resulting in substantial damage to both the vehicles and the infrastructure.
