Delhi Jaipur Highway (NH-48): The Gurugram section of the Delhi-Jaipur Highway will be renovated at the expense of Rs 282 crore as reported by jagran.com. These projects will not only improve the traffic in the system but also make it easier and better transport options for the local residents in terms of Environmental sustainability.
Union Minister Rao Indrajit Singh will start some projects on NH-48 at Gurugram on Tuesday. The function will be held at Apparel House in Sector-44 and will start at 2:30 pm. Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra will also present at this function.
New Projects On Gurugram Section
-There will be improvement of service road on the 58.8 km long at the cost of Rs 267 crore
-To ease congestion, four Flyovers will be constructed at Pachgaon Chowk, Rathiwas, near Hero Company and Sahalwas.
-18.05 km of RCC Drain shall be constructed entirely on a permanent basis for the remedy of water logging and problems faced.
-Existing open drains, totalling 40.64 km in length, will be covered, and strengthened.
-For the purpose of road safety, 32 newly constructed entry-exit points, 2,475 sign boards, 800 delineators, 29,613 road studs, 34 traffic impact attenuators and 3 high-mast lights will be constructed.
-For the purpose of environmental protection, 15,000 trees will be planted.
-Foot overbridges will be constructed at 9 site locations at a total cost of Rs 15 crores. These include Shikohpur, Manesar (near the NSG camp), Binaula, Rathiwas, Malpura, Jaisinghpurkheda, Sidhrawali, Kharkhara and Khajuri.
