Delhi: In a chilling case that has crossed all boundaries of humanity, a 9-year-old girl was allegedly murdered after being raped in Delhi’s Nehru Vihar. What’s equally terrifying is that the accused, who committed the heinous crime, stuffed the victim’s body, half-clothed, in a suitcase. The shocking assault came to light after a child from the area reportedly informed some elders that the girl was spotted walking towards a nearby apartment.
Locals Found Girl’s Body Stuffed In A Suitcase
Suspicious to find out, some residents reached the locked house and broke open the door, where they found the girl’s body, which was barely clothed. It has been learnt that the deceased had gone missing for around 3 hours. Following the shocking discovery, the locals took her to a nursing home. Meanwhile, the victim’s family alleged that some local boys had committed the brutal crime.
Police File FIR
An FIR has been filed in the matter, and a search operation is underway to track down those involved. Additionally, a case under the POCSO Act has also been registered in the matter, and the child’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. The incident has sparked public outrage, and a massive police manhunt is ongoing. As a sign of protest, angry family members blocked the Chand Bagh bridge, which was later cleared.
Atishi Slams BJP
On the incident, the Former Delhi Chief Minister has slammed the BJP. She wrote on X, “Who is responsible for the rape and murder of a 9-year-old girl in Delhi? Who is responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation? BJP has a 4-engine government, yet our daughters are not safe? Where is Chief Minister Rekha Gupta ji? Where is the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah?
