A 19-year-old dental student on Saturday died after she fell from the fifth floor of a residential building in Delhi’s Sangam Vihar. The first-year BDS student lived in a different building inside the same complex but had gone alone to her old vacant house. Although there was no suicide note, CCTV footage showed her standing alone on the fifth-floor balcony when she fell. She was taken to Batra Hospital and then shifted to Majeedia Hospital, where she died during treatment. The police are investigating the cause of the fall.

Unclear Reasons For Visit To Old Home
The tragic accident occurred in the afternoon when the budding dental student, who used to live in the same building, walked into the fifth floor of her former house. Her family had vacated it six months ago for a new house in the same locality, said a police officer. It was not known why she went to the deserted house on the day of the accident.

CCTV Footage Reveal
Police did not recover the suicide note, but managed to seize CCTV footage showing that the girl was standing at the fifth-floor balcony alone. The crime scene has been inspected, and the body has been taken to AIIMS Hospital for post-mortem.

Eyewitness Accounts
A resident who also lives in the same building, mentions that her family had moved to another house a few months back and no one knows why she visited the vacant flat in the afternoon of the day of the incident.

Police Response And Investigation
The police have confirmed that an intensive investigation is underway. The crime team has already visited the spot and more details to be received after the post-mortem examination. The police are speaking with family members and other neighbors to gather more information.
