New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a college student was killed near Aurobindo College in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar after being attacked with a rod.

As per police, the girl studies at Kamala Nehru College and had come to a park near Aurobindo College with her male friend.

Delhi Police have arrested a 28-year-old friend of hers who allegedly attacked the deceased with a rod. 

DCP South Chandan Chowdhary informed that Delhi Police received information that a body of a 25-year-old girl was found near Aurbindo College in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar. An iron rod was also found near her body.

“According to a preliminary investigation, the girl student was attacked with an iron rod. Further investigation is underway,” said DCP. 

Swati Maliwal, chairperson of the Delhi Women’s Commission said, “Delhi is not safe.”

“in a posh locality like Malviya Nagar, a girl was beaten to death with a rod. Delhi is extremely unsafe. It doesn’t matter to anyone. Only in newspaper reports the names of girls are changed, the crimes do not stop,” tweeted Maliwal.
