Delhi: Delhi Police on Monday busted a child trafficking gang and arrested four people including three women and a man. Joint CP Vijay Singh called it a challenging investigation to nab the accused, as the woman was seen picking up a child and also had a 13-14 year-old with her, making it appear as they were a family. The woman was traced through CTTV footage of the routes she travelled on auto. He informed that the last location of the woman was Faridabad and the team worked hard to bust the gang.
What Did Police Say?
Speaking to ANI, Joint CP Vijay Singh said that further investigation will be carried out to ascertain the extent of the gang’s involvement in the crime. “We have arrested 4 people including 3 ladies and a man. The investigation was very challenging as a woman was seen picking a child and also had a 13-14 year-old kid with her to show as if it is a family… The CCTV of all the routes she went through an auto was traced and we worked the case out based on the same… Her last location was Faridabad and our team worked hard to bust the gang… It will be investigated whether the couples who adopted the kidnapped kids had the information about their kidnapping and to what extent they were involved in the crime…,” added Singh.
