Muzamila, sister-in-law of Dr Umar talking to ANI, confirmed that some of the family members have been taken by the police for questioning. She revealed that Umar had not been home for last two months and the reports of his involvement in the blast has shocked her.
“They (security forces) have picked up my husband, brother-in-law and mother-in-law. They asked us about the whereabouts of Umar. We said he is in Delhi. Then they took the three away for questioning. We last spoke to Umar last Friday…He was very attached to my children and loved them a lot. Whenever he visited home, he used to be busy with Cricket. He loved Cricket…I don’t know Adil (a doctor and accused in the recent case of seizure of explosives)… I cannot believe all this. He was engaged but he was not married yet. He had not been home for the last 2 months…He didn’t have many friends. He only used to study. That is all I know,” she said.

Faridabad Terror Module
In a major anti-terror breakthrough, the Jammu and Kashmir Police busted a terror module linked to the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) outfit on Monday, uncovering a deep-rooted network involving medical professionals across multiple states. Acting on leads obtained after the arrest of Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather, police recovered a massive cache of arms and explosives from Faridabad in Haryana.
Officials said coordinated raids were carried out following revelations made by Dr. Adeel during interrogation. Nearly 350 kilograms of high-grade explosives, two AK-47 rifles, 84 rounds of ammunition, and several chemical containers were seized from a rented accommodation allegedly linked to another accused, Dr. Mufazil Shakeel. The recovery was made after intensive searches at multiple locations in Faridabad.
The arrested doctors are currently in custody undergoing investigation regarding the sources of weapons, explosives, and their intended targets, as well as potential accomplices. A locker connected to Dr. Adeel in GMC Anantnag yielded one of the seized AK-47 rifles. Authorities believe this module is linked to terrorist activities spanning Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, with explosives potentially transported via Faridabad
