Delhi Car Blast: The deadly terrorist attack on November 10 near the Red Fort has left the entire nation shocked. Amidst the chaos, it has come to light that two Delhi Police Head Constables were among the first responders when the bomb blast occurred in a car. Constable Ajay Kumar described the scene when Than Singh and he arrived at the site. “We had just left for our daily patrolling. Before we reached Gate No. 4 of the metro station, we heard a loud blast”, he said.

“Everything suddenly became dark,” Head Constable Kumar said while describing the exact moment when he rushed to the blast site and started picking up and transporting the injured to the hospital. He said that he, along with others, loaded the wounded individuals in e-rickshaws and autorickshaws and sent them to the hospital.

“The ambulance arrived only after some time. One person was stuck in a car, and with the help of people, we took him out and sent him to the hospital… Then Singh and I were the first to reach there, and in less than a minute, our entire Chowki staff had reached the spot,” Head Constable Kumar said. He further described that the people were ‘screaming and crying,’ and that “it is the power of this uniform that we could face that terrifying scene that day.”
