Hours after the Delhi blast, a terrifying video surfaced on the internet, showing the live moments when the incident that took place near the Red Fort. The video shows the moments just before the blast went off in the Chandni Chowk area. The car blast injured several people and claimed the lives of 10.
In the viral clip, a person is seen capturing a video interview with bystanders. At the moment of the blast, we can see the startled expressions of the interviewers.
The loud blast and the sudden emergence of a golden hue due to the explosion left the startled public in panic and chaos.
Eyewitnesses of the Blast
Later, several eyewitnesses spoke to media personnel and explained the incident that took place in front of them. Earlier, it was being reported that the explosion might have been caused by a CNG cylinder blast, but many eyewitnesses claimed that the intensity of the blast was so high that they believed it to be a bomb blast.
After the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the loss of lives in the Delhi blast. “Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in the blast in Delhi earlier this evening. May the injured recover at the earliest. Those affected are being assisted by authorities. Reviewed the situation with Home Minister Amit Shah Ji and other officials,” he wrote on his X handle.
Home Minister Amit Shah said that as soon as the news of the blast came in, PM Modi called and took an assessment of the incident. The Home Minister also visited LNJP Hospital and assured a thorough probe into the matter.
