New Delhi: A blast has been reported outside the CRPF school in the Prashant Vihar area of Rohini district in Delhi on Sunday. According to ANI reports, the fire department was alerted about the incident around 7.50 am, post which two fire brigades were immediately dispatched.
However, no deaths have been reported. The Fire Department said that the team is carrying out searches in the area continuously.

At 7.47 am today, the PCR team received a call informing them about a loud explosion near CRPF School in Sector 14, Rohini. After this, the Station House Officer (SHO) and staff arrived at the spot, where they found the school wall damaged and also detected a foul smell.
Glasses of a nearby shop and a parked car were also found damaged from the blast. However, no injuries were reported. NSG Commandos, forensic science laboratory (FSL) team, and bomb disposal squad arrived at the location, which had been cordoned off. Delhi Police is currently investigating the cause of the blast.

On the blast, Police PRO Sanjay Tyagi said, “PS Prashant Vihar received information about a loud explosion near CRPF School today. The police team quickly arrived at the spot and found a foul smell. Window panes and glasses were also found broken in the school premises.”
He further stated, “Our Forensic Department, Crime Team, and the Special Cell experts are investigating the matter. The cause is being ascertained. However, It will not be appropriate to give a conclusive statement till the investigation is completed.”

One of the eyewitnesses said, “I was at home. I heard a loud sound, saw a cloud of smoke, and recorded the video. I do not know anything more. A police team and an ambulance have reached the spot,” as reported by NDTV.
