Delhi Airport Update: Delhi Airport authorities on Friday issued an advisory for passengers. The advisory has been issued amid the prevailing dense fog conditions in Delhi. According to the latest advisory, the flights which were not CAT III compliant would get affected. CAT III refers to an Instrument Landing System (ILS) which allows flights to land in adverse weather conditions like fog, snow, or rain.

The authority wrote on X, “While landings and take offs continue at Delhi Airport, flights that are not CAT III compliant may get affected. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.”
The airport authorities have directed passengers to contact the concerned airlines for their updated flight information.

Earlier on January 2, the authorities informed that Low Visibility Procedures are still in progress at Delhi Airport. It added, “All flight operations are presently normal. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information.”
Orange Alert For Fog
Meanwhile, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 9.6 degrees Celsius at 5:30 a.m. as per the Indian Meteorological Department. Delhi is experiencing cold days with significant dip in temperatures. A thick layer of dense fog engulfed the national capital, affecting visibility. IMD has issued orange alert for dense to very dense fog amid cold wave. The maximum and minimum temperatures will remain 17 and 8 degrees Celsius respectively.
