Delhi news: Multiple courts, along with the CRPF School in Delhi’s Prashant Vihar on Tuesday received a bomb threat call. Bomb squads and security teams were immediately deployed, and police launched swift checks across all locations. While no suspicious objects were found during the investigation, the threat has triggered concern as the school is the same one near which a blast occurred last year. The courts that received bomb threat call include Saket Court, Patiala House and Dwarka courts.
Lawyer on bomb threat
Speaking to ANI, a lawyer said that they received an email around 11:30 am, which informed of bomb explosion being planned in the court premises. The email was being attributed to Jaish-e-Mohammed, he added. As the email was received, evacuation process was initiated in the court building and lawyers’ chamber block. He condemned the act, highlighting that anti-terrorist atmosphere is being created across the country.
“Around 11:00 AM this morning, we received an email informing us that a bomb explosion had been planned here. The email was being attributed to Jaish-e-Mohammed. As soon as the judicial officers and the Bar Association received this information, we immediately initiated the evacuation process. Both the court building and the lawyers’ chamber block were evacuated… This anti-terrorist atmosphere being created across the country is absolutely wrong. I strongly condemn it,” the lawyer said.

The bomb threat comes at a time when security has been heightened in the national capital, following the recent car blast near Red Fort area that claimed 10 lives and injured several others. An investigation into the case is underway by the National Investigation Agency (ANI), which has made two arrests in the terror attack case. Earlier on Monday, in a significant breakthrough in the case, the NIA arrested another key associate of the terrorist involved in the blast, who had allegedly “provided technical support for carrying out terror attacks by modifying drones and attempting to make rockets” ahead of the car blast attack. Jasir Bilal Wani, alias Danish, also a Kashmiri resident, was arrested in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, the anti-terror agency said its investigations have revealed that “Jasir had allegedly provided technical support for carrying out terror attacks by modifying drones and attempting to make rockets ahead of the deadly car bomb blast which killed 15 persons and left over 30 persons injured.”
