Noida Airport: The first runway of the Noida International Airport is about to commence from the month of December 2023, according to the officials.
The construction efforts are in full swing, with work ongoing 24 hours a day involving around 6,000 workers. This number is set to increase to 8,000 workers starting next month. However, the current completion status of the project is less than 52 percent.
The final stages of both the runway and the terminal building are fast approaching. The process of adding final touches is scheduled to begin in September. As part of the airport’s comprehensive facilities, provisions for drinking water and shelters for local birds and animals are also being developed.

The initial phase of Noida International Airport’s construction is taking place on a 1334-hectare land area encompassing six villages. Further construction will be undertaken in subsequent phases, with land acquisition for the second phase proceeding rapidly.
Farmers are receiving compensation for land acquisition through the Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system, directly deposited into their bank accounts.
Dr. Arunveer Singh, the CEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, expressed confidence that despite some slowdown due to the rainy season, the construction work is progressing well and will be completed on schedule. Presently, a workforce of 6,000 individuals operates in three shifts to drive the project forward.
