Strategic Air Link to Ludhiana and Bathinda
Ludhiana, recognized as one of India’s principal industrial hubs, is renowned for its thriving hosiery industry. Direct air connectivity to both Ludhiana and Bathinda from the National Capital Region (NCR) is expected to facilitate swift travel between these cities. Despite the strategic importance of this route, the details about the type of aircraft and the number of seats that Fly Big Airlines will deploy remain undisclosed.
Hindon’s Recent Flight History
For the past six months, Hindon Airport has been devoid of flight operations to any destination. Following the airport’s inauguration in 2019, flight services to three cities were launched. However, technical issues led to the suspension of flights on March 11, 2020, before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Past and Present Flight Routes
After its initial venture to Pithoragarh, Hindon Airport commenced flights to Hubli by Star Air Company in November 2019. In 2021, the airport further expanded its services to include Kalaburagi. Nonetheless, these two flight connections have been temporarily suspended since February. Hindon Airport’s first flight service was introduced to Pithoragarh, with a nine-seater flight that operated for a mere six months before being discontinued by Heritage Airline Company.”
