Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: Motorcycles, scooters, tractors, autos not allowed; If seen, heavy challan to be issued
New Delhi: Plying of motorcycles, scooters, tractors, and autos is not allowed on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway. Despite that, such two-wheelers and three-wheelers run on the expressway in violation of the rules, and because of this, the possibility of accidents increases. Action will be taken against the drivers who violate the traffic rules on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway. The National Highway Authority has prepared a framework for this, which will be started in the first week of July.
According to the information received, an automatic traffic management system will be implemented on the expressway. Through this, if any driver violates the traffic rules, his photo will be clicked and sent to the local police. After that, the challan of the vehicle will be deducted by the traffic police and sent to the owner's mobile.
At present, around 20,000 vehicles pass daily on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway, and many times the speed of the car has been measured at 200 kilometres per hour, which is a dangerous thing in itself. To prevent all these, NHAI has prepared an artificial intelligence system.
On February 13, the first part of the 200-kilometre Delhi-Mumbai expressway was opened, which starts from Alipur in Sohna and goes to Dausa in Rajasthan. Since then, thousands of vehicles have violated the rules on the expressway.
