New Delhi: Shelly Oberoi, the Delhi Mayor, instructed all zone officers to prepare the list and take action against non-performing employees or against the one against whom a complaint has been registered about their behaviour.

On Wednesday, Mayor Shelly Oberoi met with Najafgarh zone councillors to examine the operation of various departments. During the discussion, local councillors shared their concerns about the state of cleanliness, elementary schools, and parks in their districts.

During the discussion, Shelly Oberoi stated that she had received multiple complaints about personnel who had habitually neglected their jobs or who had misbehaved with citizens.

Shelly Obeori also emphasised the significance of well-planned ward inspections, which both MCD staff and local councillors must conduct. The mayor stated that both councillors and MCD officials are accountable to the residents and that they must collaborate to develop civic amenities in the city.

Oberoi said, “The safety of school children is our top priority. A comprehensive policy to address the Shortage of sanitation workers and teaching staff in all MCD schools will be introduced in line with the Delhi government’s model of education.”

The discussion also addressed the issue of a lack of school personnel and the deteriorating state of school buildings in the Sagarpur and Kakrola wards. The mayor took note of the situation and urged education officers to prioritise the repair and maintenance of school rooms and bathrooms.
