New Delhi: In an horrific incident from Delhi’s Safdargunj, a man chopped off head and private part of his wife’s lover and hanged him on a tree. The accused, is a Nepali resident, was on run since 2018.
The police nabbed the culprit on Tuesday from Bihar when he came to India. A team of Delhi Police’s Crime Branch was posted at the India-Nepal border for a week to catch him.
The officials from the Crime Branch said a dead body was reported in the Green park extension on 10 September, 2018. The victim has been identified as a resident of West Bengal.
As per media reports, the accused committed the crime with the help of his friend. However, Safdarjung Enclave police station had arrested one of the accused Ravi Kanojia after registering a case.
The Delhi Police had declared a reward of Rs 2 lakh for Mann Kumar’s arrest.
Man Kumar, the accused, has been living in Safdarjung Enclave area since childhood. In the year 2018, he came to know that his wife is having an extra marital affair with Nanda, the victim.
Nanda used to work at the same place where Man Kumar’s wife was employed. Kumar asked his wife to end the relationship several times, but she did not agree.
After which, Mann conspired to kill Nanda with the help of his friend Ravi Kanojia. These people called Nanda on drinks. When he got drunk, he tied his hands and cut his private parts with a knife. After that his neck was cut off.
The accused had hanged the neck and private parts on the tree. This caused a stir in the area at that time.
