New Delhi: Food & Supplies Minister and MLA Ballimaran Shri Imran Hussain visited the LNJP Hospital to meet the victims who were injured in an unfortunate incident where a two storey building collapsed in Farash Khana area resulting in loss of three lives and injuries to nine persons. The Minister met the injured persons and enquired about their medical condition.
Further, Hospital Authorities were instructed to provide quality medical care facilities to the injured persons. The Minister instructed for special care and adequate support to the victims in the hour of suffering.
The Minister also acknowledged the role of NDRF, DDMA, Delhi Police, BSES and fire brigade personnel as relief and rescue operations faced difficulties considering the dense population of the area.
Shri Imran Hussain further directed the concerned area SDM/Revenue department officers for sufficient arrangements of lodging and food items for the affected residents.
On behalf of the Delhi Government, Shri Imran Hussain also announced an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakhs each for the kin of the deceased, Rs 5 lakhs amount for the deceased minor victim and besides Rs 2 Lakhs to those seriously injured & Rs 20 Thousand for injured persons as per government policy.
The F&S Minister also met the family members of the deceased girl child and assured them of all possible government assistance. Shri Imran Hussain said that CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s government always stands by the people in times of crisis and distress.
He further added that even though the ex gratia amount cannot compensate for the loss caused to the families, he hoped that with this small financial assistance from the Delhi Government, the family members will get some support in building their lives ahead.
