Dry days are designated days on which the sale of alcohol is prohibited. These days typically coincide with national holidays, state elections, and significant occasions such as Independence Day, Republic Day, and Gandhi Jayanti, among others. On dry days, all liquor shops and bars remain closed, and the public sale and consumption of alcohol are strictly forbidden. The primary objective behind implementing dry days is to uphold law and order and encourage responsible drinking during important events and occasions.
