New Delhi: Delhi Government going to introduce a policy for cloud kitchens by implementing a user-friendly single-window system through a digital platform. The effort is intended to help independent food establishments while also encouraging the creation of various job opportunities in the sector.
CM Arvind Kejriwal presided over a high-level meeting and stated that a plan for the regulation of independent food outlets will be established in order to generate employment prospects in the sector.
Benefits for Cloud Kitchen Businesses
Cloud kitchen operators and businesses will no longer have to deal with the hassle of getting licences from numerous government authorities such as MCD, police, fire, and DDA. Through a single portal supplied by the Delhi government, they will be able to apply for licences and track the status of their applications. The new regulation would significantly enhance Delhi’s 20,000 current cloud kitchens, helping thousands of industry workers.
In the autonomous food outlets concept, the Delhi government has incorporated cloud kitchens, ghost kitchens, dark kitchens, base kitchens, satellite kitchens, and virtual kitchens. In this model, only food outlets that provide meals to consumers are considered independent.
