New Delhi: A fire broke out at a laptop cell factory’s basement in northeast Delhi’s Chand Bagh. The body of a woman was found at the site. The police have registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Maya (30), a manufacturing labourer, has been identified. The woman was in the basement of the laptop cell battery’s washroom. According to the police, a PCR call was received indicating a fire in the basement of E-9, Chand Bagh. The fire tenders needed almost three hours to put out the blaze, following which the body was recovered from the basement bathroom.

According to ANI Delhi police said, “A PCR call was received regarding a fire in a laptop cell factory in the basement of E-9, Chand Bagh. Fire tenders took about three hours to bring the fire under control after which a body of a woman, Maya age 30 yrs was found in the bathroom of the basement. She was working as a labourer in the laptop cell factory. Case registered u/s 285/304A IPC. Further investigation is in progress.”
