It is claimed that the daughter went to school on Wednesday and was beaten with sticks by a teacher because her handwriting was poor. The girl sustained an eye injury during the beating and lost vision in one eye. The family members’ senses were blown away when the girl returned home.

The family members immediately admitted the girl to the hospital. After this, Sohanlal, having full knowledge of the incident, gave a complaint to the Kasna police against the accused teacher. After investigating the matter, the accused teacher Amit Katiyar has been arrested by the police.

There are strict instructions from the State Government and the Basic Education Department that no child can be subjected to physical or mental torture and if it happens, strict action would be taken against the accused.
