Noida: The day is finally here when citizens are going to get a ride from the traffic, as Chief Minister Yogi Aditaye Nath is going to arrive to inaugurate several projects including Parthala Flyover in Noida and Greater Noida on Sunday. The authority has made strict security arrangements to ensure the safety and smooth visit of the CM. 3,000 police officers, including traffic officers and plainclothes intelligence agents, will be stationed at the locations where the CM is likely to appear.

Laxmi Singh, the commissioner of police for Gautam Budh Nagar, said, “While diversions will be in place throughout the day, certain main roads will experience temporary closures during VIP movements to minimize public inconvenience.”

She added, “The police have collaborated closely with the district administration and the Noida authority to implement robust security arrangements. Extensive police rehearsals and mock drills have been conducted to identify any potential loopholes in the security plan.”

The Parthala Flyover in Sector 121, the Advent underpass in Sector 137 and Vedvan Park in Sector 78 are all set to be inaugurated by CM Adityanath. He will also supervise the transfer of 55 police cars from the Noida government to the Gautam Budh Nagar police. Several routes in both cities will be entirely closed to traffic throughout the day in preparation for the event.

Additional assistance has been brought in from other districts, with senior police taking charge of security operations after full briefings. Six Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) companies and one Rapid Action Force (RAF) unit have also been deployed.

Alternative Routes

The Gautam Budh Nagar traffic police department has issued a traffic advisory outlining the precise routes that would be blocked to traffic. Starting at 6 a.m. in Noida and 11 a.m. in Greater Noida, these routes will be closed till one hour after the CM’s event concludes.

The advisory states, “The Noida Stadium area will witness complete closure, affecting routes such as the Sector 39 underpass leading to the Sector 12/22 crossing, the Sector 12/22/56 crossing en route to Rajnigandha crossing, and the Sector 31/25 crossing heading towards Sector 8/10/11/12.”

It added, “Traffic movement will be restricted from 11 am onwards from Pusta trisection to Omicron roundabout during the CM’s visit. Traffic movement will also be restricted from Sirsa roundabout to Rampur-Fatehpur trisection to Addverb factory in Kasna.”

The advisory mentions the closure of the Sector 54 trisection, which is impeding traffic towards Jalvayu Vihar. The Noida Elevated Road and the Noida-Greater Noida Motorway will be briefly closed as well during the CM’s travel.

A Shift Towards BJP's Aggressive Hindutva Amid Opposition's Leadership Crisis

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
