Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin will be taking the ‘Mann ki Baat’ route to talk to people directly, not over state-owned radio but using the medium of Podcast. One of the strongest pillars of I.N.D.I.A grouping taking on the Modi government and the BJP, the DMK supremo said he would be addressing the nation through a podcast series ‘Speaking for India.’
The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, who also heads the DMK which swept all but one of the 39 Lok Sabha seats in the state in the last general elections, vowed to repeat the performance and deny the BJP entry into Lok Sabha from the state.
The 2024 Lok Sabha elections will mark the end of the BJP rule in the country, Stalin said.
Incidentally, the DMK is turning 75 years old and is the third major party in the parliament after the BJP and the Congress.
“Recently, I started a question and answer session: Ungalil Oruvan (one among you) to share my views. The DMK is turning 75 years and is the third major party in the Parliament. It was nurtured by iconic leaders like (former Chief Ministers) C N Annadurai and M Karunanidhi, who created a deep impact,” Stalin said in a Twitter post with the captions: “Awakening India’s tomorrow, A Southern Voice Speaks for India”.
“We are forced to speak for India. I am going to speak through an audio series about how the BJP regime, which will end in 2024, is destroying India and how we want to build an egalitarian and fraternal India in the future,” he said.
“Shall we name it Speaking for India? Wait for this voice from the south!” he said in the video clip he shared.
The video came on the day when all alliance partners of I.N.D.I.A congregated in Mumbai to discuss the strategy for Lok Sabha polls due next year. His declaration came on a day when the central government convened an urgent and special session of parliament speculating rumours of an early election to the Lok Sabha.
But it now transpires that the session is likely to discuss and pass legislation relating to one nation, one poll, according to some television reports.
