Ed Sheeran Chennai Concert: Traffic Diversions In Place – Which Roads Should You Avoid?

British singer Ed Sheeran's 2025 India tour concert will take place on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at YMCA Grounds, Nandanam, Chennai. The show will be starting at 6 p.m. Since a large crowd is expected to gather from 3 p.m onwards, the Greater Chennai Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions.

The police advised people to use public transport like the Metro Rail, MTC buses, and MRTS trains and avoid using private vehicles. They also suggested walking to the venue using the footpath.

How To Reach The Venue?

Auto-rickshaws and cabs (yellow plate vehicles) coming from Teynampet with passengers for the event can reach the venue only through Cenotaph Road, Gandhi Mandapam Road, Chamiers Road, and Lotus Colony 2nd Street (Nandanam Extension) for drop-off. Vehicles coming from Saidapet will go through Nandanam Junction, take a right turn and then make a U-turn on Chamiers Road, and reach the drop-off point via Lotus Colony.

Vehicles Allowed In The Venue

Only VVIP pass holders and artists’ vehicles will be allowed at the YMCA main entrance and Cosmopolitan gate entrance on Anna Salai.

Audience are highly requested to use public transportation like Metro Rail, MTC buses and MRTS trains and walk to the venue using footpath, said by the police.
