In Chennai, on Wednesday June 25, more than 50 areas will experience a power cut-off. There will be a five-hour blackout in Tamil Nadu’s capital as the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation addresses maintenance work.
According to the energy department there will be power interruption in parts of Pallavaram, Tambaram, Adyar, and Kotturpuram. TANGEDCO indicated that these areas are affected as follows with a blackout from 9 AM to 2 PM.
However, supply will come back on earlier if the maintenance work is done ahead of schedule. Here are the affected areas:
