Nuh: During the Brajmndal Yatra organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Matrushakti Durga Vahini in Nuh, Haryana, chaos erupted as the procession faced a barrage of stone-pelting. The situation quickly spiraled out of control, leading to clashes that resulted in the tragic deaths of two home guards and left numerous people injured, including over 20 policemen.

Unrest spreads to nearby areas
The violence in Nuh spilled over into neighboring regions, with Palwal, Faridabad, and Gurgaon witnessing mob attacks and widespread unrest. In Sohna, houses and businesses of one community became targets of another group, leading to vehicular arson and intense confrontations with law enforcement.
Injuries and property damage
The aftermath of the clashes left around 30 individuals injured, with 13 police personnel rushed to Medanta Hospital for treatment. Inspector Anil sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach, while DSP Sajjan Singh suffered serious head injuries. Additionally, several vehicles were set ablaze, primarily in Sohna and Nuh.

Social media’s role in escalation
The situation was further fueled by the spread of inflammatory videos and messages on social media, exacerbating tensions among various groups. Responding to the escalating unrest, authorities suspended internet and SMS services in Nuh and internet services in Faridabad until August 2.
