Jalandhar: The Intelligence Department of Punjab Police has taken cognisance in a case related to alleged rape of a man in Jaladnhar by a group of women.

Earlier, a group of women in their twenties allegedly abducted a man and taken to a seculeded place to rape him. The man alleged that the girls stopped him to ask for an address.

He alleged that the girl showed him a slip to know about the address. As soon as he came closer, the girls sprayed some chemical in his eyes. As his eyes started to burn, he could not see anything and he fainted eventually.

The man woke in a car sitting with the accused, having his eyes blindfolded and hands tied. The girl drove the car to a forest area where they drank alcohol and also forced the victim to drink some.

After which the four girls took turns to rape the man and abandoned him at an isolated place.

The man did not filed an FIR in the matter as his family said they are happy on his safe return. The man alleged that the accused committed the crime for sexual reasons.

The victim is married and works as a labourer in a leather factory.
