New Delhi: The central government has released Rs 226.57 crore to take forward three ambitious projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana. This money has reached the bank accounts of the Yamuna Authority. The Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Arunveer Singh, said on Thursday that this amount received from the Central Government will be used to take forward three important projects in Yamuna City. The government has given this money for the next 50 years, for which no interest will have to be paid.

CEO Dr Arunveer Singh said that an industrial park and a toy park are to be developed in Sector 35 of the Yamuna Authority area. For which demand of Rs 48.02 crore was made by the Central Government under the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana. The central government has sent Rs 28.95 crore for this project. Apparel Park, MSME Park, and Handicraft Park are being developed in Sector-29. Rs. 143.72 crore will be spent on this project. For which the central government has sent Rs 128.12 crore. Work is underway on the Medical Device Park in Sector 28. 439.49 crore will be required for this project. The central government has sent Rs 69.50 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana. In this way, the Yamuna Authority demanded Rs 631.23 crore from the Central Government for all three projects. Which has been given technical approval by the state government and the centre. Presently, out of this, Rs 226.57 crore has been sent to the Yamuna Authority.

Arunveer Singh said, “Getting funds from the central government will be of great benefit. The schemes can be taken forward with speed. For the financial year 2023 also, the Yamuna Authority has sought funds from the central government. A list of 18 projects by the central government For which a demand of Rs 220.30 crore has been made. The Central Government will consider these projects soon. We are hopeful of getting full financial support from the Centre.”
