CBI court rejects plea to cancel bail, leaves Tejashwi Yadav with warning

New Delhi: The Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has rejected a plea by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Tuesday, seeking cancellation of bail of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.

Earlier in the day, the Rashtriya Janata Party (RJD) leader Yadav had appeared before the court in the national capital in a case related to Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) scam case.

During the hearing, Yadav said that he belongs to an Opposition party and raising questions on wrongdoings of the govrnment which is his duty.

He said, “CBI and Enforcement Directorate are being misused by the present government…  All opposition party members feel the same.”

After which, the court warned Yadav and asked him “be responsible & choose words appropriately while speaking in public”.

The court reserved its order and said a detailed order will be passed. No specific ground for cancelling the bail was found.
